Sarah's super adventure!

So I’ve finished my final piece for my uni hand in tomorrow morning, a zine illustrating lyrics that comes with a mix CD of eight upcoming uk artists on my imaginary music label All those ships records.

The brief was to come up with an idea with value in the current economic situation - I decided to go with a record label that releases music for free, but sells physical copies with a quirky extra for a small price. Kind of like a mash up between Quote Unquote records and Alcopop records. The idea was to get more exposure for the bands rather over profit, and because piracy is pretty huge already just cutting it out and releasing music for free and then hopefully people would hear new bands and more people would go to shows instead (where if money really was an issue, they’d maybe buy merch there).

But yeah, here are all the illustrations for the zine apart from the cover. 
The bands featured are: Stagecoach, Tubelord, Tellison, Misty’s big adventure, My first tooth, Jose Vanders, Copy Haho, and Ace bushy striptease. Half of these bands seem to be touring right now so seriously, you should check them out and not miss out.

I think I’d like to do this for realsies if any musicians are interested? If you’re interested you can contact me via icouldsayark@aol.com, but I think I’d really try this out properly next academic year, which I’m taking off to work on my portfolio and other various projects, ideally.
